Palace tonight, Cardiff on Friday and Europe next Tuesday

Things do feel a little non stop at the moment. I'm just getting my head around us beating Chelsea at the weekend and tonight we're playing Crystal Palace in London. On Friday, we've then got the FA Cup against Cardiff at Villa Park, before Champions League next Tuesday.

It's a busy time for Aston Villa and that's exactly what we want but it does put a pressure on the side and it does make a few Aston Villa fans quite nervous.

I'm all for embracing the busy days. And as supporters I think we need to quickly adapt this because I've got a feeling it will be the same next season. And the one after that. We also have to remember that it's a season of 38 fixtures in the league season and nothing is really every determined with 11 games to go.

After 27 games last season we were 8 points off Liverpool at the top and 5 points above Spurs in fifth. That feels a little better than right now, but look at the table this season. It's not just about us, it's about how the season has panned out for everyone.

That we are where we are having won 6 less games than last season, to this point, is quite remarkable. I'm all for adapting to this changing landscape - it's fun. And hopefully that fun continues tonight.

I'll be back in a bit, have to turn my skills to Powerpoint for a bit.
