It feels like today is a good time for a post. The team have headed off to America to continue pre-season and it was confirmed yesterday that Boubacar Kamara has signed an extension to his contract. That should make it expensive if someone wants to buy him as well as reward him for the player he has become.
And I know many are keen for new players to come in and see sides around us spending, but spending doesn't equal a higher league position. Number of players in the squad, consistency, hard work and the manager are probably more important.
I know I've written this before, but I'm going to write it again, Liverpool will not do as well this season because this is now becoming Slot's team and this is when we find out if he can do it. I'm not saying we're in a better place than Liverpool, I'm saying Liverpool won the League last season because Manchester City had a woeful season and the Liverpool side that won it was Klopp's Liverpool.
