Big match again at Manchester City and match facts from the BBC

A week ago it was PSG at Villa Park, then Newcastle at the weekend. Tonight, it's Manchester City in what Pep is calling a final. At the weekend it's the FA Cup semi final against Crystal Palace. It isn't slowing down and I'll go so far as to say we have more than one final coming up.

And even though we have had a fantastic few results, so have the sides around us. Despite beating Newcastle in a fashion that had pundits salivating over the weekend, we are still seventh place with five games to go.

So tonight is big. And maybe big isn't the right word. Like I wrote above, Pep is calling it a final and that's probably because at this stage of the season, we're only one point behind them.

And a win tonight would take us to fourth place but we would have played a game more than the teams around us, apart from City and it would feel good for a while, but the form of everyone around us suggests that they'll catch up. And it's the form of everyone around us that is the worry.

And in all likelihood, all of the teams fighting for the top five will drop points so if that happens tonight for us or Manchester City, I think it's fair to say that neither side are out of the running. Football is a funny old game and while I could write if it's meant to be it will happen, we all know this isn't the case.

It will just mean it's made a little harder for us or Manchester City and possibly the last points we can drop. And that's why tonight is such a big match but also why I think it's not written what will be the end result on May 25th. I'm not sure I'd like to predict who is going to finish in the top five, but I know it will be sides that deserve it. No luck needed.
