Someone asked for it, so here it is and it's the last match post of the season. A season that has seen us qualify for Europe again next season and one that has had us believing things are very much on the right track.
But today, we're playing for Champions League football again next season and if we end up getting it, it wont just be because we won at Old Trafford. We need a result somewhere else to go for us.
But if it happens, things are looking very positive for next season. If we don't get it, I suspect we might see some changes. I think we are banking on Champions League football. That doesn't mean it's Champions League or bust, but if we don't get it, I think we might see more players leaving than we'd like.
I don't think that is that bad either, it's the nature of the game these days. Lets hope for a result to go our way. And there are three other matches happening where we need a result.
Fulham v Manchester City: We need a Fulham win.
Newcastle v Everton: We need Everton to get at least a point.
Nottingham Forest v Chelsea: We need Forest to get at least a point.
And we have to beat Manchester United. Three points is a must for us, but we need one of the above to happen also. I'm opening a bottle of wine right now and hitting publish. I think I also added team news to the title, but I see Mint got there first in the comments. Come on lads. Up the Villa!
