I've written this a few times the past couple of weeks, but Arsenal are a side fancied by a lot of pundits to win the League. And I suspect they'll be in the race for a long time. But it's not just that some pundits think they could win the League.
They did finish second last season with a points total that would have won the Premier League on six or seven previous occasions. They're a decent team. So that written, they were always going to beat us one day, so we shouldn't beat ourselves up about it.
On another day, with the chances we had, we would have won. It wasn't our day. And much like Arsenal had to beat us one day, we are going to have those days that don't go as they should.
It's not nice and a few of us fancied we had a chance against Arsenal and that's actually a great feeling to have. It tells us we've come along way that we are going into a match like this thinking we can win and actually, it turning out we could have.
Just not our day.
And there were positives. The big one for me was Morgan Rogers. He's starting to look more and more like a player that is going to play an important role for us this season. I might even like to look at Ollie having an off day as a positive too. He's not going to have another one this season.
So, we move on. Leicester this weekend and it will be tough. Every game in this League is tough, but if we go into it playing the way we have so far this season, it should turn out good for us. But it's going to be tough.
That said, we need the points and the manager knows this. And before I go, just seen a rumour that we're wanting to sign a right back. Is Cash out out or is this just more speculation?
Anyway, another quick post. Time to crack on. It's all good.
