I'm going to go into this more tomorrow, specifically some of the players, but it is news so it is getting published. Bottom line; Porto had the first ten minutes, after that it was fairly even but we took and created our chances and deserved the victory.
Tonight ended 2-1 after Porto got a penalty in the 90th minute and while you can't say they didn't deserve a goal, we deserved our two. We will also know later tonight who we face in the final, but it is either Real Madrid or Juventus on Sunday and well, it should be another good game.
Everyone played well, even Heskey, who scored the first goal after a very good cross from Albrighton. Sidwell scored the second after the ball fell behind him and he let it come through his legs before shooting home.
Heskey got sent off for putting both his hands on a Porto player who a few seconds later fell to the ground, Ciaran Clark came on early for Curtis Davies and a few kids got a run out later one. Overall a very good game and a good result and while I know it is a pre-season tournament, it was a very competitive game.
More tomorrow, but a good result and some very promising performances from some of the Villa players.
