Morning all. It's a nice Sunday and because today is going to be a good day, we are going to treat it with the positivity it deserves. Football is only a game and be thankful you are not a Birmingham City fan, then it really would be depressing.
I'm going to quickly look at the rumours today before moving on to actual business and a very special event. First up is Jenas from Spurs for £12mn and well, I don't know what to say about this. He is a decent player and maybe he just needs Martin O'Neill to get it out of him on a far more regular basis?
Next up is the £6mn we are going to pay Manchester City for their captain and central defender. I just can't see this happening, mostly because he is their captain and he is a decent player. Maybe if Lescott comes in but is Lescott really that good?
What I mean is, he is no Ferdinand or Vidic or a Laursen or Mellberg for that matter. Surely if Dunne stayed he'd get games and surely as club captain he will feel as if he has a responsibility. I just think all this money Manchester City are willing to pay for an above average player isn't going to them any favours and I fancy Dunne will know this and might not want to leave.
But moving on, we have other rumours, or actually rumour and it is the bloody same as every other day, Distin, so I'm moving away from it. I'm leaving rumours where they deserve to be left. Instead I'm going to run downstairs and get some coffee.
Some time later today, I'm also hoping to do a live broadcast from my mobile phone via the Kyte.tv website when I put all the names of the people that entered the competition to win the Sony phone in a hat and I draw a winner. There is a chance this isn't going to work as it has been a bit up and down for me, so if it doesn't work and I don't post a time on here (about 4pm) that it is definitely on, then the draw will be done via Random.org, simply because it is random and quick.
