Sidwell and Davies off, Delph fighting back and fixtures

By the time you read this, chances are the fixtures will be out. We won't be publishing them on here but if you visit this site you will be able to see them, if fixtures are your thing.

If players are your thing, you'll be pleased to know that Fabian Delph has 'discarded his crutches' and is on an unaided road to recovery after that knee injury. With a bit of luck he will play again this season.

Playing again this season is a bit of an ask but you never know - he will need time and it turns out that he has another problem fixed in his knee - his meniscus was 'done at the same time'.

With a bit of luck also he will come back just as strong, will flourish and play regularly for us too one day - he appears to be happy.

Fabian Delph talking to club site
The treatment has been superb since I've done it, so I can't thank them enough. I have definitely formed a bond with them now. My team-mates have been brilliant with me. Everybody has been texting me asking how I am and the medical staff are absolutely superb as well. So I can't ask for any more, to be honest. It has been perfect.

Cheers Steve

If rumours are to be believed, then Fulham have offered cash for Steve Sidwell and he wants to leave and if it is true, all we can say is thanks Steve. You can't call into question his commitment but he is off - because if he doesn't leave this summer - he can start negotiating his own deal in January for next summer. Much like Nigel Reo-Coker - could they both be off this summer, along with Curtis Davies?

Cheers Curtis

We mention Curtis Davies, because the same paper that have said today that Fulham have made an official approach for Sidwell are also saying that Davies is joining Spurs - they are just raising the cash.

I think Davies leaving will be a mistake on the same scale as Gary Cahill and O'Neill will deny it, but it all seems to stem from when the story broke about a new contract after 60 games - it appears O'Neill is committed to not playing him so he doesn't have to give him a new contract.

Right - Argentina at lunch time and I have to prepare - but I will be around all day here and on the World Cup 2010 site. Come by visit if you want - and before anyone asks - we are working on a mobile site and we are hoping it will be ready sometime in August.
