Most think a 5th or 6th place finish for Villa next season, the sky is blue and the earth isn't flat

It is a scientific fact, a fact I tell you, that the earth isn't flat and did you know the sky is blue because blue is a stronger colour than red, well technically, it's not stronger, but the blue has a higher frequency than the other colours so more are absorbed which is why the sky is blue and I've really know idea what I'm talking about.

It has something to do with a fella called Lord John Rayleigh, an English physicist, who first talked about this in the 1870's and you can read more here, if you are that way inclined.

My point is, there is very little going on. We did run with a quick question yesterday though and it was; Where will Aston Villa finish the 2009/10 season?

Of the 700 odd that have voted since we launched it about 20 hours ago, 354, or nearly half think fifth or sixth again and the next biggest was 7th or 8th with 229 votes.

It is an interesting one and there still seems to be a lot of confidence despite us still needing two players to have the same number as we finished with last season and of the two that we have brought in, one is completely unproven and the other is injured until December and plays in the same position as one of our best players.

We need more players or I fear we might make hard work of that 7th or 8th place, which is also why I'm leaving my season preview and prediction until as late as I can. You can see the full results of the quick question here.

Tomorrow, we are going to look at the ecological impacts of agricultural biotechnology and I'm going to ask the question; iMac or PC but I'm also hoping for something from our club too, like a new player or three, but I suspect we will hear about that first from somewhere else.

But before tomorrow, some interesting bits, Villa related from t'internet.
