Marc Albrighton certainly makes an impression and Fabian Delph signs

I've got this thing about James Milner playing on the right wing that just won't go away. Basically, I don't think it is his best position and I actually don't think he is that good at crossing the ball either, which for me anyway, is quite an important asset for someone that does play on the right wing or right side of midfield.

So, during one of my moments about three hours ago someone suggested we put up a poll to see who the visitors of this site would prefer on the right side of midfield so I asked the question; Martin O'Neill picks 4-4-2 for next season. Who should he pick to start on the right side of midfield?

If I'm honest, I'm not surprised by the result because we've just seen a few games with Marc Albrighton putting in some fantastic crosses and getting past a good few players, another area that I feel Milner lacks a certain something.

Of the 196 voters we had since 4.54pm to 7.22pm, 52.6% of the voters picked Marc Albrighton over Milner.

Now, just because he had some good games against the likes of Porto and Juventus, it doesn't mean he is going to walk into the first team and have similar good games against Premier League opposition, but Martin O'Neill must be happy and surely he will get a chance.

The most important thing for a player his age I reckon is going to be confidence. There is no doubt he has the ability, but it's making sure that when he doesn't have a great game or things start to not go exactly as he would like, that it doesn't get him down.

Martin O'Neill may feel and this really wouldn't surprise me, that the best way to do that would be to bring him in slowly, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a few games this season to give him the chance to make that impact, but we shouldn't also doubt him as a player.

There are also a number of players to have started playing well before they got to his current age of 19, which include Michael Owen, Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney, to name just a few. What is to say we don't have a player capable of going on to be as good as these?

Oh and as an addition, Fabian Delph has signed for the club. The fee is undisclosed, although we will find out one day and we don't have any idea of contract yet, but it is a done deal.
