Manchester United at Old Trafford, the team of our generation and January is over

I have to tell you, I'm glad January is over. Don't get me wrong, I like a bit of speculation like the next man, but some people just went a bit over the top and it I was getting a headache. It is over now, we've done very well and now we can concentrate on the football and the team of our generation.

So, to start with the team of our generation. Please click here to vote for who you think the best central midfielder at the club was during the previous two decades. Winner and second place will make up our central midfield partnership and this is one I can not predict.

Manchester United at Old Trafford

Old Trafford is never an easy place to visit. Traffic is horrendous and there is a bit of a walk involved too. Sorry, I mean not many teams get a result. In fact, Manchester United have not lost in the league all season. They will lose at some stage this season and it could be tonight and if it is, it will be a fantastic result.

I'm not going to dwell too much on the match tonight as it is fairly obvious what we face. But it is possible. They have to lose sometime and why not against us?

It is a bit early, so if I've missed any and I don't think I have, let me know in the next thirty minutes and I'll add them, but like I said, I think I've covered all the bases. Smiler McCann was never going to make the list, but please think carefully - there are some very good players in that list that maybe didn't get the recognition they deserved at the time and some of them won silverware for us.

Manchester United Odds

You will get a good price on us tonight and the best price is below. I'm up for it and I'm also meeting a Manchester United fan later and the bet I'm playing is the the loser buys the drinks. It could be an expensive night for one of us.

At the end of the month

But to summarise January - we've done very well. We have Darren Bent and Jean Makoun in, as our players. We have Kyle Walker and Michael Bradley in and in essence we have first refusal. If they turn out to be decent players, they could be added in the summer and they really could both turn out to be decent players.

I'm happy with the changes and I'm happy with where we are right now. I'll be happier tonight, as long as we put in the type of performance we did when United came to Villa Park earlier this season and I believe we can.

Updates and team news

As soon as we get anything, we will update this page, but for now, I've got work to do and an evening to prepare for and lots of coffee to drink. Top six is still possible and a lot more will believe if we get a result tonight.
