Well, it looks like Ron Vlaar has signed on the dotted line and is now an Aston Villa player and for just over £3mn it looks like good business and looks as if one of Richard Dunne or James Collins is off and if I could get odds on who it was, I'd put it on James Collins.
Yesterday, Vlaar spent the morning saying goodbye to players and friends at Feyenoord and all things point to him coming to Birmingham today. However, while this all looks done, I'm not adding his name to the right until the club confirm it and there is a photo of him holding up the shirt.
Video of the day
In case you were wondering, that was Vlaar taking control after Feyenoord beat Ajax earlier this year (I think) and yes, he does look like captain material, but can he just walk in and be made captain?
Something to think about
And to end this post, something to think about; if Randy Lerner is looking for investment or to sell the team left to him by his father, what makes anyone think he isn't doing the same with the club he bought and seems to have lost interest in?
I'm just saying. I know nothing, but it surely has to make you think, it is certainly making me think.
