I've been thinking about this a couple of days. Would the players and Martin O'Neill who said that the booing was unfair come out and told us it was unfair had we not beaten Liverpool at Anfield?

I don't think they would have and had we lost at Anfield, there would have been more boos but the players wouldn't be able to get on their high horse and criticise us, throw their toys out of their pram and criticise us.

I don't agree with booing your team, but know I've booed other players, other teams and incidents in a match. It is strange, but I don't like how the players come out and use a victory to tell us we are wrong, becasue clearly in that moment, we are going to look wrong, but at the end of the day 6th place is pretty good, but it's nothing to write home about or be super happy with two seasons on the bounce.

But, I was just thinking about that for a few days and now I've got it off my chest. I will move on.

New Defenders

It looks like it is going to be Warnock and Distin as Mark Hughes has said that Dunne is going nowhere but we've also heard nothing from our club or Portsmouth about having a fee agreed. Okay, each club is different but if we had made an offer and it has been accepted, I suspect our club would tell us.

What I mean is, we haven't had a fee agreed for Warnock, but they are telling us they are talking with Blackburn and Blackburn are saying nothing. It could be that nothing has been agreed with Pompey and that their new owner, as confirmed yesterday, is making a new offer to the player to stay for another season or two.

Either way, I fancy Warnock will happen, but I'm not sure about Distin or Dunne. We will have to wait and see.

Rapid Vienna

Right lads, it is an important match tonight. I'm thinking about asking the wife, two weeks from giving birth, to run to the shops and pick me up a case of beer for later. She has said I can have one more night where I don't need to worry about driving but that I have to take it soon. Maybe tonight is the night?

We will be starting a match post later with links to a few places, a thread in the forum and we will be twittering updates as long as twitter can stand up to the pressure. Hopefully tonight, we will also be on a new server.

Site Moving

Basically, the site is getting quite busy and while I do have a few other sites on this server, this is the only one that gets serious traffic, so this site is crashing my server and the knock on effect of that is it is effecting my work, so we are moving to a machine that we hope is going to be capable of handing this site - it certainly should be. So hopefully, after tomorrow, no more issue.
