Competition time: Win a very fine cashmere scarf by picking a number

I've got a post from Doc soon to go up, but before I do that, we have a competition and if you're a fan of really nice things and Aston Villa, you're going to love this.

We've 'teamed up' with Savile Rogue to give you the chance to win a cashmere football scarf in claret and blue and all you have to do is answer a very simple question.

But before we get to the question, you'll notive I haven't had a negative swipe at the manager for almost 72 hours now and you're probably wondering why, well I wanted to tell you, it isn't worth it. You either think he is going to do it or or you don't and it is now just a case of waiting for one other person to figure it out. So, enough about something that a lot of people have already made a decision on and to the competition.

About Savile Rogue

Savile Rogue Scarf

Savile Rogue scarves give a nod to football terraces of yesteryear, shunning in-your-face logos and cheap nylon in favour of a traditional bar design and the comfort, quality and warmth of top grade wool.

It's the sort of scarf you would be happy to wear even when you’re not at the match and I do. I wore mine today.

How to win

To get your hands on an Aston Villa cashmere scarf simply submit a number in the comment box between 1 and 25,000 and when Random.org spins out a number, whoever is closest wins.

I'll give you 24 hours to submit your number and I'll run a screen dump of what Random throws out, but if you happen to pick the same number as someone else, it will be whoever was first with the number. Also, if there are two people the same number away as the random number, it will be whoever is first again and lastly on the rules, you can have a maximum of two guesses - more than that means all guesses are void (I added this at 10.51am, so if you had more than two guesses before this time, I will take the first two only).

Right, before I go - if you’re not lucky enough to win tomorrow, you can use the discount code VILLABLOG anytime between now and 22 October to get £5 off any scarf. /p>
