Aston Villa have just won the The Premier Reserve League South for what I think is the third year in a row. Am I right in thinking that?
Anyway, they just beat Fulham 2-1 with goals from Barry Bannan and skipper Ciaran Clark and after a quick look on Wikipedia, I can confirm that it is the third season in a row we have won it.
Last season we went on to beat Sunderland in the play off final and this year, I think it will be the Manchester United reserve team we meet, although I'll confirm that soon.
So, congratulations to all involved. It is a serious league with a number of serious matches and these players continue to demonstrate they are winners. One day soon, we will start to see a number of these starting for the first team. It has to happen and I am confident it will.
