This is going to be a quick post because we didn't win or lose and more importantly we got to 35 points and as you know, I think that will be enough this season. Now, just because I think it will be enough doesn't mean it will be, but it was such a poor match, I don't want to spend time on why.
I will say this, my man of the match is Marc Albrighton, but he's also the one player I'd want to spend some time with at training because for how good the crosses look, if there isn't an Aston Villa player within five yards, it's fairly pointless putting in a cross that looks nice.
Now, you could argue that if there is nobody there to meet it, it's not his fault, but he shouldn't be just putting them in. Rather keep the ball and put in the cross when he knows he's going to get it to one of our players.
Also Marc, cross early and towards the back post or late, from the line and back. Stop crossing square from the line, it's going to the first man or the back post and to nobody. But he is the man of the match for effort alone and potential, even if I think he's a better impact player.
And in other results, Fulham lost and Cardiff drew. Norwich lose to Liverpool tomorrow, so unless Cardiff or Fulham are going to win two of their last three games, we're safe. And I don't think they will.
So, until next season ... just kidding. I'll be back tomorrow and the day after. I've got a feeling this is going to be a good summer. If it isn't, we have to hang a Faulkner Out banner on the gates of Villa Park.
But before I go, we'll get three more points this season. Remember; Lambert gets a point a game. Always has, always will.
