FA Cup Sunday: Aston Villa v Bournemouth

It's game day and it's a big day. And a nice statistic to read is that we've won seven of our last eight FA Cup matches at home. It has to be a positive today. The truth is, today is going to be one of those days that you can not predict what is going to happen. We just have to hope that the right football and the introduction of Gil helps.

I think it will. I'm going into this game full of optimism. And even though I think the league is the absolute priority and should be what we have to focus on, a good run in the FA Cup would be something to look forward to.

And on that, I'm going to play today by ear. Lead the optimism below and I'm going to join in. I want this today and I hope it can happen. A win is long overdue and any win will be a good one. But wouldn't it be nice if we won by playing really well and scoring a few goals?

Team news and updates

Team news will be added as and when we get it but I'm going to go eat some food, put on the radio and think of ways to wind up Robbie Savage on Twitter, because winding up Robbie Savage on Twitter should be a sport.
