The result last week brought some optimism. The actions from Randy Lerner and Tom Fox this week brought a feeling of despair. We need to win today and if we do there will be some renewed optimism, but we'll know it has nothing to do with the people that put us in this mess. And the irony is, the man can't get us out of it.
But that renewed optimism would be nice because the day could end with us five points from safety, which would start to have some of you believing it's possible. But it's Leicester and it's not going to be easy. But not many thought we'd beat Crystal Palace and although I think Leicester are serious contenders for a top four spot this season, I do believe they are beatable today.
And I think we have to play the same we played against Palace if we are to get the result and seeing as it was earlier this week, you've got to hope we can continue it and I think we will, especially if the support at Villa Park continues how it ended the other day.
But will it be important that we stick with the same team? I think it is very important. I think when you go out and win after not winning in so long, you have to stick with the team that won it for you. Changes today will have some people asking why and if we do make changes and lose, that will be the question asked.
Team news and all that
So, I'm going to continue watching Spurs, hoping they beat Sunderland. You can watch the video of the day below. It's of our Chairman and CEO, on the edge. I'll be back after the 3pm games with the Aston Villa team. And below, we'll have a little bit of fun today.
