Morning all. I feel cleansed after yesterday and with us picking up three points this afternoon, I know it's going to be a good day. I also know I'm not having a beer today after last night, but that could also not be what actually happens.
Bottom line, today is important. Martin O'Neill has spoken. Martin O'Neill has taken responsibility for last weekend and Martin O'Neill will be here next season. We have learnt a lot this week, not everyone fully understands, but we have the information.
April Showers
We are going to score for fun today. It isn't March and we always have a horrible March. Last April was horrible also - we didn't win in April last season, but the one before was fantastic - I think we scored 17 goals in April 2008 and I think we are going to do the same this season - not in score 18, but score a few.
There you go - positivity; I think we are going to score lots of goals. The positivity is based on nothing but hope and faith, but faith is good enough for billions all over the world, so it should be good enough for me.
Enough of the joking - it really is an important match and we need to win. If we don't win, there is a chance we could be 8th by close of business tomorrow and that would be terrible. Acceptable naturally, but terrible.
Updates and bets and team news
As and when we get the team news we will update you and we will update here most of the day. We will also tell you that you can get 12/5 on Pompey to beat Blackburn at home today with PaddyPower - I'm having a cheeky five on that as I think it is the value bet today - not that I really know what 'value bet' means, but I like the price and it sounds good.
So - will we bounce back against 15th place Bolton? You will know in a few hours but I think we will, only because they are '15th place Bolton' and dress it up any way you want, 15th is 15th and a team is 15th for a reason.
