Could it be that Martin O'Neill is interested in Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas? This rumour doesn't seem to want to go away and it started up in April when the rumour of John Carew going in the other direction also began.
All of a sudden, I don't fancy Carew will leave but I fancy if we were serious about Jenas, he'd be interested in coming. We've finished above Spurs for the last two seasons and while they've now got a very good manager, who will do well for them next season, I just fancy we'll do better again and there is every chance Jenas thinks the same.
I'm not 100% convinced about Jeans though and the rumoured £10mn. does seem quite a lot. There is no doubt he has talent but you don't see it that often, however when you do, it does looks very good, which could be the appeal for O'Neill.
It could very well be a case that Martin O'Neill could be exactly the type of manager for him and that a new challenge for the player could possibly ignite his chances of a trip to South Africa next summer.
It is only a rumour but we are getting to the serious end of the transfer window and sometimes with this smoke there is a real fire somewhere. Jenas ticks all the boxes for Martin O'Neill so don't be surprised if there is some truth in this.
Moving on and we have a little more speculation today, this time about Nigel Reo-Coker and apparently Middlesbrough are interested in him and will be willing to maybe use Tuncay in a deal to get him.
Our Nigel is better than Championship football. I have no doubt that Middlesbrough would be interested in him, but I'm fairly sure that he is also part of the managers plans. But you know what, it wouldn't surprise me.
Before I go, more news on the kit. We will get our first look at in on July 24th. Right, that is it for now, I'm going for breakfast.
