Leeds at Villa Park, match facts and the season is getting interesting

It feels like it was such a long time since we played, but it was the FA Cup that makes me feel that way. And it wasn't a nice result against Newcastle and quite a surprising performance, but I've written about that, so we move in.

It's Leeds at Villa Park tomorrow and it's a big match.

It's big because we are three points behind Manchester City and if Arsenal bottle it again this season and we can stay close to Manchester City, we might just get quite close to Arsenal too.

Not that I think Arsenal will bottle it, but it does feel a little like that is written already. And if they don't get three points against Spurs at the weekend and Manchester City do, it's going to have many continuing that narrative.

And there is a need to not allow the other side from Manchester catch up with us and while some might believe that the bounce they have had with Carrick has bounced and they're going to default to what Manchester United have become, I'm hoping that he wins a few more and gets offered a contract and spends money in the summer.

And if that happens, we need to be picking up all the points we can and it feels like we've dropped a few recently when we shouldn't have, so three points tomorrow is important, for many reasons. Mostly, it's about getting the players on the page that this is real.

I'll be back tomorrow and tomorrow is all about three points. It's starting to feel very real and we don't want to do an Arsenal.
