At Spurs in the FA Cup and match facts from the BBC

This is going to sound strange, but I'm not that interested in the FA Cup match at Spurs today.

Don't get me wrong, I'll be watching and I want us to win and you all know my views on silverware, but if we don't win and that gives us a 1% better chance in the League or Europe, I'd move on very quickly.

It's six extra matches, very much at the business end of the season. Does this make me a bad person?

Has not playing in the League Cup helped us? It hasn't hurt us not playing in it so the chances are it has helped. And I'm just taking that view today. It's a little like England at the World Cup for me and well, there I've written it.

I think for sure we will see a few changes today as it's an opportunity for the manager to rest a player and put some players on the bench that might not always get the chance. It's a good thing for everyone, if this happens.

So that written, what else do we have? Apparently we've agreed a £10mn deal for 16 year old Brian Madjo. Yes, I've not heard of him either but apparently he's a big prospect. I guess at that price he must be.

We're also apparently interested in bringing Conor Gallagher back to the Premier League. Lots of talk and a fair bit of money getting spent if all this happens. This means there must be a player or two leaving. And there is also talk that Bailey might be coming back but I suspect the Club are doing all they can to not allow that to happen.

We'll see, but the window is open, we have acted and I suspect more will happen. On that, it's 27 degrees below zero where I am, so I'm going to get my skis and hit the slopes. Nothing like a couple of runs in these conditions to wake you up. Back later.
