Bayern Munich at Villa Park, the German league and predetermination

Hidden behind something, I found a bottle of port on my kitchen shelf yesterday afternoon. It was a very nice surprise as I didn't remember buying this particular bottle and it is a very nice port. It made yesterday, a regular Tuesday, a very pleasant Tuesday.

And it's little surprises like that that make my week.

And this isn't me writing for effect but I have hidden things for myself to find in the future. It's like a little reward to my future self. The port wasn't this, that was just luck. But the end result is the same.

And tonight could be what many expect. It could also be we get lucky. Or it could be that we get what we deserve.

And that's why I sometimes leave things for my future self. I hope we get what we deserve.

You see, I believe in the manager and what's happening. I believe in optimism. I believe in predetermination at this very moment and I believe our time is coming. I also think Bayern are the biggest team in a second rate league managed by a third rate manager.

And yes, I do like to get myself into trouble, but come on, four or five teams from that league would survive in the Premier League and the likes of Spurs or Newcastle could win it. We can win tonight and we can shine. It's possible.

Right, I'll get in trouble for all of this, but we are better than we were a few years ago and we are above words. We give 100% today and we are 100%, then it's ours. So what's the harm in having a little fun with a German side.

Right, I'm off for now. It's a busy day. Back before kick off. I might even have a pint watching tonight as I'm staying in town. Up the Villa!
