It's quite hard to write a post after that. All things point to bad decisions by the manager but there is a common thread that we must always try to remember and it's this; Tim Sherwood is still in primary school when it comes to Premier League management and he's going to make more mistakes than right ones.
But nobody can be surprised by this. We knew this when we appointed him. We can't turn on him now. Now is the time to support him. And he always has a good half.
The worry is that we're not even getting a point a game this season under Sherwood and he's spent a lot of money. But people, if there is a manager out there that we want to grow with us, it's Sherwood. He's not like Lambert even if the results are like Lambert. He will get better.
But he can't hide from his decisions today. Grealish and Gil scored which was nice, but just after the second goal (Gil) he took him off and replaced him with a striker. Almost as if he thought we could get more goals. That was his first mistake. His second mistake was replacing Gabby for a striker. We started the game with one striker and when we needed it with two.
Sherwood is arrogant and young and cocky, but he will learn. And we can't beat out of him this way of playing. We have to just believe that he'll get better. And until then, yes we can be a bit worried, but what did we really expect?
