I'm once again glad that the Premier League season is over and mostly just happy that we survived. It looks like Tim did enough when he came in to keep us up and everything is now set for him to make a real name for himself.
And you can almost forgive the players for the past two weeks. The spanking was just a spanking and today, we knew we were safe and while the second half was better, everyone has an eye on the FA Cup. But we have to play so much better next week.
Under Sherwood we have put in our best performances when it really has mattered and we just have to keep our fingers crossed that it happens again. If we play like we played today or last week against Arsenal, it could be embarrassing next weekend. But I don't think that will happen.
A lot can happen in a week and a lot needs to happen this week. And if it does or doesn't, it probably wont matter because come Saturday, there will be nothing but optimism ahead of the match, because we've beaten the sides to get here and we've also had some pretty impressive performances under Tim.
Today and this season (like last season) should probably just be forgotten as quickly as possible. It's all about next weekend now and in 90 minutes we can beat Arsenal, as long as we want to.
This season is over and your views of the season are welcome below. But I have a feeling they'll be a season review post coming soon. It's now all about Saturday.
