I've put mighty in my post title because for the second half we were. For the second half we defended like we haven't defended for a while and we did just enough to take the three points.
Two goals from Darren Bent in the first fifteen minutes and a bit of luck with some of the decisions today was good enough for us, but this win isn't really the talking point for me, the talking point for me is who is going down.
I'm supporting a few teams next week
As the table stands, The Clowns are 17th on goal difference but they will lose next week at White Hart Lane because Spurs need three points to confirm European football for next season.
But we need Blackpool or Wigan not to lose and Spurs to win. If that happens next week, The Clowns are relegated and that for me, would be fantastic.
Back to the match
We started the first half with confidence and we played the right way against Arsenal. We closed them down and we looked forward when we got the ball. We started with Downing and Young on the wings and when we had the ball they went wide, when we didn't they came back and helped out.
It was 4-5-1 when defending and 4-3-3 when going forward. It was nice to see.
The first goal came from, I think, Kyle Walker playing a lofted pass into the box for Darren Bent to control on his chest before volleying a chip over the Arsenal keeper - it really was quite nice. The second came a few minutes later when Ashley Young played in Darren Bent again this time to slot home under the legs of the Arsenal keeper.
The second half was different. We didn't come out looking for it and we sat back. We had to do a lot of defending, but we did enough and I for one, was very happy.
