It's a big match today and that isn't even including the circus that will come with it for many reasons. It's big because I think we can get something from it, as long as we don't get distracted.
The last time we got distracted was against Chelsea and look what happened. Today isn't the day for that. A win today and we are safe and it's something we can control.
And I'm not mad, we can beat Chelsea. Today will be a great example of what the support at Villa Park can do because it's the last day of the season, it's a sell out and everyone will be up for it.
With the right support today, we can win. And have you noticed; the club haven't been trying to get you to be the twelfth man, it's happened organically and it's much more effective.
Class and form
Chelsea are a strange side. They were the first (not counting Blackburn) to buy the title and their position. There is even a great song sung by some supporters about them about having no history.
They're in the best form they've had for years under a manager their supporters don't want for something the said when managing a different side. They've got a manager that I think could bring them silverware and they're holding out for a manager that should know you never go back.
Chelsea are a strange club and despite where they sit in the current form table below and despite them needing to win today, I still think we can beat them. Red Rafa is a very good manager and Chelsea have some very good players that are coming good under him at the right time, but I just think this is our day. We have form too.
We've won won five of our last eight games, scoring 18 goals. Christian Benteke has scored more goal this year than any other player in the Premier League and Gabby has six in seven games, something I never thought I'd write.
And it's important to note the roll of the other players in the team too; Weimann is having the type of season that will attract other clubs and our midfield are now playing some quite good football, the right way.
It isn't going to be easy today, but we can win this game, as long as we are not distracted.
Updates, team news, bet of the day and love
And it is the last home game of the season, so there will be some love today, but I for one will be happy when this season is over as it's been a tough one. But I am really looking forward to next season already, even though we don't know for sure right now if we will be in the Premier League.
But I think we will. And I also think that there will be some good banter today. Team news will be here about an hour before kick off and there will be updates throughout the day.
And before I go, my bet of the day; Aston Villa and Manchester City. £10 pays £60 back at PaddyPower and you can get that price here.
Until then, my Saturday routine, back in a couple of hours.
